21MAR2018 Baltimore MD During the session "Risk Mitigation- Preparing for an Active Shooter" Jerry G. Wilkins, PSP® challenged his audience to consider utilizing technology to improve outcomes during a Critical Incident. The presentation included excerpts from recent active shooter events where technology was not part of the Emergency Operation Plan and was not leveraged to improve the effectiveness of the response efforts. Hightlights of NFPA-3000 were reviewed and discussed. NFPA-3000 is scheduled for release in April 2018 and will provide guidance on Active Shooter Hostile Event Response Planning.
