Active Risk Survival, Inc. recently provided their "Selling the Why" training to the Convergint Technologies LA team. The training is designed to provide a better understanding of how Technology can be leveraged during All Hazards events. During the training participants gained a deeper understanding of Risk Mitigation, Emergency Operations Planning, Resource Typing, and the importance of utilizing technology to improve outcomes when a Critical Incident occurs. The training provides insight into the processes used by the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command Structure (ICS) and how to apply those concepts in the private sector. Regulatory guidance like NFPA 3000, Inter-agency Security Committee Mandates and Best Practice and OSHA's General Duty Clause 5.a.1 serve as guidelines to applying Industry Best Practice when designing and deploying Electronic Counter Measures solutions. Case studies from recent After Action Reports (AAR) are used to highlight how electronic technology can provide alerting capabilities, crisis lock-down and situational awareness during Hostile Events. The training is not designed to make the participants gun fighters or Paramedics. The training does provide a unique understanding of the incredible commitment our First Responders have made to save lives. Active Risk Survival is greateful to Convergint Technology for investing the time to make their LA team Tactically Aware, Technically Competent ®.
